For the fifth year in a row we’re doing Fall Portrait Mini-Sessions! (GO HERE to book yours now!)
We’ve got 18 time slots spread out over 5 different days and 5 different locations!
Sessions are 25 minutes long and all prints, products, and Holiday cards are available at a 20% discount. And just like last year, sessions are only $95!
Approximately 1 week after your session you’ll come over to my home office to look at all your photos and decide which ones you’d like to keep. (This usually take about an hour…)
This year we’re revisiting some of the popular locations we’ve visited in the past, including last year’s popular ‘graffiti’ spot in the RiNo district, and we’re adding a new location as well, up in Longmont, featuring some great Mountain backdrops!
First up, we have four AM slots on Saturday, September 30, at Margaret’s Pond in the Legacy Ridge neighborhood in Westminster. Here’s a sample photo from a mini-session I shot there last year:
Next up we’ll be heading back to our favorite open space area in Broomfield. A nice ‘canopy’ of trees here – like a forest of fall colors! Four afternoon slots on Thursday, October 5. Here’s a sample photo from last year:
We’ll be back to Boulder on Saturday, October 7, for three morning sessions. A great mountain background is available at this location. Here’s one from this spot at one of last falls mini-sessions (and the mountains will look even better in the AM)!
New this year will be Sandstone Ranch in Longmont! I discovered this spot this year and I think these vistas will be epic! We’ll be there Sunday, October 8 for four afternoon sessions. Here’s one I got there earlier this year:
Finally we’ll be headed back to the RiNo district in downtown Denver where there is Graffiti in abundance! No fall colors here – think urban street graffiti and you’ve got the idea. Three time slots available here on Thursday, October 12 in the late afternoon. Here’s a sample photo from one of last year’s mini-session here:

Confession Time: I live in the Denver Metro area and wasn’t entirely sure what the ‘RiNo District’ was until this last week.
When Christiane suggested we do their family portraits in the Denver RiNo district I thought ‘I’ve heard of the RiNo District, but I don’t really know what it is’. After researching it a bit, and taking a visit there, I realized that I had been there before, a number of times actually, but it had been a few years… And now this area on the north side of Denver has it’s own ‘vibe’ that seems to me to be very artistic, very young, very urban – and very cool. C’mon – Graffiti is encouraged. How great is that!? I immediately got excited about revisiting this area of town and seeing what we could make of it.
So, I met up with Christiane and her family and we explored the area for a bit – capturing some awesome portraits along the way. Their son turns one in just a couple of weeks and it was time to commemorate this big day! I think we did well.
Just look at those little hands and toes. And those lips! Such perfection and beauty and innocence and sweetness!! I recently had the wonderful privilege of photographing this little angels’ newborn portraits at my home in Westminster, Colorado. We got some great photos of her sleeping, and then she was awake and alert and taking in the scene! Welcome to the world little one – we all can’t wait to see you grow and to meet the woman you will become. But we’re not in a hurry, so take it slow. 🙂
I just love these little babies – even when they cry it’s a celebration of life. And when they quiet and sleep, I sit in awe of the miracle. Kirsten brought baby Sam over for his very first portrait session at just 8 days old, and he did a bit of both. What a wonderful sight.
Bailey is a beautiful girl and I’m sure is going to go on to amazing things. But first… Senior Year! Here’s a video of all of Bailey Morton’s Broomfield High School Senior Pictures – plus a few favorites!
Triplets! What an amazing time hanging out with these three. Hilarity ensued. 🙂
There’s just something about a newborn baby that makes my heart swell and my soul marvel at such a beautiful gift from God. Wondrous!
Right after Christmas I met up with the Liddle family in Broomfield, Colorado. They’re from California and used to sessions on the beach. Well, this time we had just a touch of snow. 🙂
Jenna and Miles took a little vacation to Estes Park, Colorado. While there they decided to celebrate THEM with a portrait session in the beautiful and wintery Colorado outdoors.
