For the fourth year in a row we’re doing Fall Portrait Mini-Sessions! (GO HERE to book yours now!)
We’ve got 25 time slots spread out over 6 different days and 5 different locations!
Sessions are 25 minutes long and all prints, products, and Holiday cards are available at a 20% discount. And just like last year, sessions are only $95!
Approximately 1 week after your session you’ll come over to my home office to look at all your photos and decide which ones you’d like to keep. (This usually take about an hour…)
This year we’re revisiting some of the popular locations we’ve visited in the past – and we’re adding a couple brand new locations as well featuring waterfalls and graffiti!
First up, we have four AM slots and three PM slots on Saturday, October 1, at Margaret’s Pond in the Legacy Ridge neighborhood in Westminster. Here’s a sample photo from a mini-session I shot there last year:
Then, new this year, we’ll be in the RiNo district in downtown Denver where there is Graffiti in abundance! No fall colors here – think urban street graffiti and you’ve got the idea. Four time slots available here on Thursday, October 6 in the late afternoon. Here’s a sample photo from a recent session there:
Next up we’ll be heading back to our favorite open space area in Broomfield. A nice ‘canopy’ of trees here – like a forest of fall colors! Four morning slots on Saturday, October 8 for this location and then four more afternoon slots here on Sunday, October 16 (No Bronco game on 10/16). Here’s a sample photo from last year:
We’ll be back to Boulder on Sunday, October 9, for three late afternoon sessions. A great mountain silhouhette background is available at this location. Like we were trying to get in this photo:
And finally we’re going to try three late afternoon sessions at El Dorado Springs Canyon state park (between Superior and Boulder) on Wednesday, October 12. NOTE: There is an $8 entrance fee per car! This one is for couples, or for families with older children, as it requires a fair bit of hiking to get to the waterfalls… But once we’re there it makes for a great background!!

Confession Time: I live in the Denver Metro area and wasn’t entirely sure what the ‘RiNo District’ was until this last week.
When Christiane suggested we do their family portraits in the Denver RiNo district I thought ‘I’ve heard of the RiNo District, but I don’t really know what it is’. After researching it a bit, and taking a visit there, I realized that I had been there before, a number of times actually, but it had been a few years… And now this area on the north side of Denver has it’s own ‘vibe’ that seems to me to be very artistic, very young, very urban – and very cool. C’mon – Graffiti is encouraged. How great is that!? I immediately got excited about revisiting this area of town and seeing what we could make of it.
So, I met up with Christiane and her family and we explored the area for a bit – capturing some awesome portraits along the way. Their son turns one in just a couple of weeks and it was time to commemorate this big day! I think we did well.
Right after Christmas I met up with the Liddle family in Broomfield, Colorado. They’re from California and used to sessions on the beach. Well, this time we had just a touch of snow. 🙂
Jenna and Miles took a little vacation to Estes Park, Colorado. While there they decided to celebrate THEM with a portrait session in the beautiful and wintery Colorado outdoors.
The Strait Family had their family portraits taken in Broomfield, Colorado just before all the leaves fell off the trees and we still had some ‘fall colors’ to play with. And play with them they did.
